RentOk is a property management platform built to make managing PGs, hostels, co-living spaces, flats and other rental properties simpler.

From finding and converting leads to managing tenants, rent collection, accounting, room and bed occupancy, complaints and day-to-day property operations, RentOk brings everything into one place. Today, RentOk is used across thousands of properties and helps property owners and managers save time, reduce manual work and run their properties more efficiently.

We're a growing team building products for a space that is still largely managed through spreadsheets, WhatsApp and manual processes. And we're looking for someone who can help us tell that story better.

About the Role

We're looking for a Content Creator who can take an idea and turn it into content people actually want to watch, read or share.

You'll be working closely with the marketing team to create content for RentOk's social media and other digital channels. This will include coming up with ideas, writing scripts and captions, creating short-form videos, working with designers/video editors and keeping up with relevant trends and formats.

This is a hands-on role. We're looking for someone who doesn't just wait for a brief, but can also spot a good content opportunity and take it forward.

Roles & Responsibilities

Content Creation & Scripting

- Create content for RentOk's social media platforms, especially Instagram and LinkedIn
- Write scripts for reels, short-form videos, feature explainers and other content formats
- Turn product features and industry topics into simple, engaging content
- Develop content ideas around PGs, hostels, property management, tenants and the problems property owners face
- Write social media captions, hooks, copy and other supporting content
- Repurpose existing content into different formats wherever relevant





Content Planning

- Work with the marketing team to plan and execute the content calendar
- Come up with new content ideas instead of relying only on trends
- Identify relevant trends, formats and conversations that RentOk can participate in
- Help build recurring content series and content formats for RentOk
- Plan content around product launches, feature updates, campaigns, hiring and company initiatives

Video & Social Media

- Create and/or coordinate short-form video content for Instagram and other platforms
- Work with designers, editors and other team members to get content produced
- Give clear briefs and feedback to the creative team
- Review content before publishing and make sure it is accurate, engaging and aligned with the RentOk brand
- Be comfortable appearing in videos or coordinating on-camera content when required

Product & Brand Content

- Understand RentOk's products and features well enough to communicate them simply
- Convert complex product features into content that is easy for property owners and managers to understand
- Create content around RentOk's product updates, new features, customer stories and use cases
- Help communicate what RentOk is building and why it matters to the property-management industry

Ownership

- Take ownership of content from idea → script → execution → publishing
- Manage multiple content pieces at different stages
- Coordinate with internal teams to get the required information, assets and approvals




- Maintain basic tracking of content and publishing timelines
- Take responsibility for deadlines and quality instead of waiting for constant follow-ups

What We're Looking For

- 1+ year of experience in content creation
- Strong writing and scripting skills
- Valuable understanding of Instagram, LinkedIn and short-form content
- Ability to come up with original content ideas
- Good understanding of social media trends and content formats
- Basic understanding of video shooting and editing
- Comfortable using tools such as CapCut, Canva or similar tools
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks
- A good eye for what makes content engaging
- Willingness to experiment, test different formats and learn quickly

Nice to Have

- Experience creating content for a startup or growing brand
- Experience with B2B, SaaS, real estate, proptech or similar industries
- Experience with reels, talking-head videos or UGC-style content
- Basic understanding of social media analytics and content performance
- A portfolio of content you've created

- RentOk consistently has fresh and engaging content going out across its social channels
- You can take a rough idea and turn it into a finished piece of content with minimal hand-holding
- Our product features and updates are communicated in a way that people can actually understand
- You bring new content ideas to the table instead of only executing existing briefs
- Content quality and consistency improve over time
- You understand what is working, learn from it and keep experimenting
