About the Role: -

We are looking for an ITOM Discovery Specialist to support the implementation of HCL BigFix Service Management – Discovery. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in IT infrastructure monitoring, network technologies, or IT operations who are interested in working on discovery and configuration management solutions.

Candidates with hands-on experience in monitoring tools, networking concepts, or discovery technologies are encouraged to apply.

Required Qualifications & Skills: -

- 4–12 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, IT Operations, Monitoring, or ITOM domains.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring or Infrastructure management tools such as SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG, SCOM, ManageEngine Op Manager, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Logic Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar platforms.
- Good understanding of Networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, firewalls, VLANs, and load balancers.
- Practical knowledge of infrastructure discovery protocols and technologies such as SNMP, SSH, WMI, WinRM, PowerShell, REST APIs, or agent-based discovery.
- Understanding of Windows, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, storage, databases, and enterprise infrastructure.




- Positive troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Key Responsibilities: -

- Support the implementation and configuration of ITOM Discovery solutions for infrastructure and application discovery.
- Configure and manage discovery jobs, probes, sensors, and credentials.
- Assist in infrastructure and application topology mapping.
- Work with network, server, virtualization, and cloud teams to enable discovery across enterprise environments.
- Conduct technical demonstrations, workshops, and customer discussions.
- Troubleshoot discovery issues and optimize discovery performance.
- Gather customer requirements and provide technical recommendations for discovery implementation.

Good to Have; -

- Exposure to Discovery or CMDB solutions such as BMC Discovery, Device42, Lansweeper, Ivanti Neurons Discovery, Fresh service Discovery, OpenText Discovery, ServiceNow Discovery, or similar tools.
- Basic scripting or automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or Shell scripting.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Understanding of CMDB, ITIL, or IT Service Management (ITSM) concepts.
- Experience integrating monitoring and discovery solutions with ITSM platforms.
