We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Cross Border Settlements Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's cross-border payment processes, ensuring timely settlement to merchants, and making real-time decisions regarding cash flow and pricing strategies. This role requires a high degree of efficiency, accuracy, and the ability to thrive in a quick-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have banking or fintech exposure – particularly in FX & Pricing Logic. The candidate will also play a key part in automation of cross-border settlements.
Mandate Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Product Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with cross-border banking payments and Crypto transactions, particularly in FX & Pricing Logic.
- Strong understanding of FX exposure, currency management, and international payment regulations.
- Experience driving automation initiatives, e.g. partnering with engineering teams to build or scale platforms and systems is preferred.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with clients, engineering, product, and business teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- International Remittance and Cross-Border Payment Management: Oversee and manage the end-to-end settlement process for cross-border transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to our merchants.
- Pricing Decisions on Trade Desk: Run a dynamic Trade Desk, evaluating and adjusting pricing strategies for cross-border transactions based on market conditions, exchange rates, and transaction volumes.
- Cash Flow Management: Make on-the-spot decisions related to cash flow optimization, ensuring liquidity and cost-effectiveness in daily operations.
- Automation & Platform Development: Partner closely with engineering and product for rollout of our OTC platform for cross-border and crypto settlements.
- Work with the Finance Operations Manager to define and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) and escalation policies to ensure regulatory compliance, operational consistency, and effective risk mitigation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the finance, legal, and operations teams to ensure seamless processes and compliance with international regulations.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators, trends, and discrepancies related to cross-border transactions.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to cross-border payments, such as currency fluctuations, regulatory challenges, and liquidity risks.
