JOB DESCRIPTION* Senior Manager – Financial Reporting (BU: Chemical) Role Description Job Title/Designation Senior Manager Department Finance and Accounts Reporting To AVP- Finance - Chemicals Location / Unit Ahmedabad Reported By Manager/Asst Mgr Direct Reportees 4 Internal Stakeholders Plant Finance Teams, Depot Operations & Commercial Teams, HR & Payroll, Internal Audit & Compliance and IT (SAP HANA / Fiori) External Stakeholders Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, Tax Consultants and Banks & Financial Institutions Job Purpose The Senior Manager – Financial Reporting is responsible for end-to-end preparation and presentation of financial statements in compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act 2013, and SEBI (LODR) Regulations. The role ensures accurate quarterly and annual reporting, robust internal controls, and effective coordination with auditors to deliver “true and fair” financial reporting for stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Strategic Lead the financial reporting framework in line with regulatory and corporate governance requirements. Preparation of Audit Committee and Board-level financial presentations. Ensure alignment of reporting processes with SEBI (LODR) and Companies Act requirements. Drive consistency and standardization in financial disclosures and reporting practices. Financial Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Balance Sheet, P&L;, Cash Flow, and Notes to Accounts. Manage standalone and consolidated financial reporting, including subsidiaries, associates, and joint ventures. Ensure accurate elimination of inter-company transactions and treatment of non-controlling interests. Ensure strict compliance with Ind AS, especially:
Ind AS 115 – Revenue Ind AS 116 – Leases Ind AS 109 – Financial Instruments Maintain and review General Ledger reconciliation calendar, ensuring timely closure with proper documentation. Ensure ERP systems are updated in line with financial reporting and regulatory requirements. Operational Act as a key coordinator for statutory and internal audits, ensuring timely closure of audit queries. Maintain and test Internal Financial Controls (IFC) / ICFR framework for effectiveness and compliance. Manage audit schedules, documentation, and reporting timelines. Ensure adherence to quarter-end and year-end reporting deadlines. Lead continuous improvement in financial reporting processes and ERP systems. Skills Expert knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) Strong understanding of Schedule III of Companies Act, 2013 Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA or equivalent ERP systems Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, macros, data analysis) Strong understanding of financial consolidation and reporting frameworks Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability Solid communication and stakeholder management skills Job Specifications Educational Qualification Chartered Accountant (CA) – Mandatory, Additional qualifications such as CS, CMA, or MBA (Finance) preferred Years of Experience 8-10 years Relevant Experience Experience in Corporate Finance / Financial Reporting of a listed company Prior experience in Big 4 Audit Firm (Assurance) highly preferred Hands-on experience in financial consolidation, audits, and compliance Exposure to ERP-driven financial reporting environments *This is a brief Job Description, and the work allocation would not limit to the above mentioned.
