About the Role

We're looking for a highly experienced Principal Platform Engineer to drive foundational platform, architecture, infrastructure, and AI integration initiatives across our technology ecosystem. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, focused on building scalable platform capabilities rather than application-level development.

You'll own large-scale initiatives end-to-end — from architecture and technical strategy to implementation and production delivery — while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Security, and cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in CIAM, Authentication, Authorization, distributed systems, cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, developer experience, and AI-enabled platforms, along with strong hands-on Python development skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Own architecture and technical direction for large-scale platform, infrastructure, and AI integration initiatives.
- Act as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for critical engineering programs, driving design, planning, execution, and delivery.
- Design and build scalable CIAM, authentication, and authorization platform services.
- Develop reusable platform capabilities consumed by multiple engineering teams.
- Drive platform modernization, architecture redesign, and technology transformation initiatives.
- Build and integrate AI/GenAI capabilities into platform services, developer tooling, and engineering workflows.
- Integrate LLMs and AI APIs into production systems to enable intelligent automation, developer productivity, and platform intelligence.
- Design AI-enabled workflows using technologies such as LLMs, RAG, AI agents, MCP, and vector databases where appropriate.
- Build cloud-native platforms using Kubernetes and modern infrastructure technologies.
- Develop automation frameworks, developer tooling, and solutions that improve developer experience and engineering productivity.




- Establish engineering standards, architectural patterns, security best practices, and platform governance.
- Design for reliability, scalability, observability, security, and operational excellence across platform services.
- Drive CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and deployment best practices.
- Work closely with Product Management and engineering stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Manage technical dependencies across teams and drive alignment in complex and ambiguous environments.
- Mentor senior engineers and provide technical leadership across architecture, coding, AI adoption, and engineering practices.

Required Skills

- 11+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, infrastructure, or distributed systems.
- Strong hands-on Python development and coding expertise.
- Deep experience designing and building platform-level systems and distributed architectures.
- Strong expertise in CIAM, Authentication, Authorization, and Identity platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, and up-to-date CI/CD practices.
- Experience designing highly available, scalable, secure, and reliable systems.
- Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, logging, distributed tracing, and SRE/reliability practices.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, and modern identity protocols.
- Experience with identity platforms such as Auth0, Okta, or similar solutions.




- Hands-on experience integrating AI/GenAI capabilities into production applications or platforms.
- Experience working with LLMs, AI APIs, RAG, AI agents, MCP, or vector databases.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, networking, security, and distributed systems.
- Proven experience driving architecture redesigns, platform modernization, and technical strategy.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work with Product and Engineering leadership.

Nice to Have

- Experience building AI-powered developer platforms, internal developer portals, or intelligent developer tooling.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Experience with Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, or similar infrastructure/deployment technologies.
- Experience with service meshes, API gateways, secrets management, and platform security.
- Experience building reusable Platform-as-a-Service capabilities for engineering teams.
- Experience implementing AI-assisted engineering workflows and developer productivity tools.
- Experience with SRE practices, reliability engineering, capacity planning, and incident management.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise or high-growth technology environments.

A hands-on Principal Engineer and technical leader who can operate at both the architecture and implementation level. Someone who can take ownership of ambiguous, high-impact platform initiatives, make critical architectural decisions, write production-quality code, and drive execution across multiple teams.
