We are looking for an experienced Immuta Data Security & Governance Engineer to implement and manage enterprise data access governance using the Immuta platform. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with data security, data governance, access control, and policy automation across modern cloud data platforms. The role involves working closely with Data Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Business teams to ensure secure, compliant, and governed access to enterprise data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage data security and governance solutions using the Immuta platform.
- Configure and administer Immuta for policy-based access control and data governance.
- Implement dynamic data masking, row-level security, column-level security, and attribute-based access control (ABAC).
- Develop and maintain data access policies aligned with business, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Integrate Immuta with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, Amazon Redshift, and Google BigQuery.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Data Governance teams to establish secure data access frameworks.
- Monitor policy enforcement, user activity, and audit logs to ensure compliance and governance.
- Support data classification, metadata management, and data catalog initiatives.
- Troubleshoot access-related issues and optimize governance policies for performance and scalability.
- Create technical documentation, governance standards, and operational procedures.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years of IT experience with at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Immuta or enterprise data governance platforms.

- Azure Synapse Analytics
- Amazon Redshift
- Google BigQuery
- Strong SQL skills for data analysis and policy validation.
- Knowledge of identity and access management solutions such as Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), Okta, or LDAP.
- Understanding of data governance frameworks and metadata management.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD processes is preferred.
Positive to Have
- Experience with Collibra, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or Apache Ranger.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Familiarity with Python for automation and scripting.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools.
- Exposure to DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
- Relevant certifications in cloud security, governance, or data management.

Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field.
