About the
Role
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager / AGM –
Finance to lead the finance and accounts function for a growing
engineering/manufacturing organization. The role will be responsible for the
overall finance function, including financial reporting, MIS, budgeting,
taxation, audits, statutory compliance, investor coordination, banking and
commercial finance activities. The ideal candidate should have strong exposure
to a manufacturing/engineering environment and be capable of managing both
strategic and day-to-day finance requirements.
Key
Responsibilities
1. Finance
& MIS
· Lead the overall finance and accounting
function.
· Prepare and review monthly MIS, financial
statements and management reports.
· Provide management with timely financial
insights for business decision-making.
· Monitor financial performance against budgets
and identify key variances.
· Drive financial controls, processes and internal
systems.
· Oversee day-to-day finance operations and ensure
timely closure of accounts.
2.
Budgeting & Financial Planning
· Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting
process.
· Prepare budgets in coordination with business
and functional teams.
· Monitor actuals against budgets and provide
variance analysis.
· Support management in financial planning and
cost optimization initiatives.
· Work independently with external/Big 4 auditors
on budgeting, financial reviews and related requirements.
3. Audit
& Compliance
· Manage statutory, internal and financial audits.
· Coordinate with external auditors, including Big
4 firms where applicable.
· Handle investor-related audits, reviews and
information requirements.
· Ensure timely closure of audit observations and
implementation of corrective actions.
· Maintain robust financial controls and
compliance processes.
4. Taxation
· Oversee direct and indirect taxation matters.
· Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, income
tax and other applicable regulations.
· Coordinate with tax consultants and advisors.
· Support tax audits, assessments and other
statutory requirements.
5. Investor
& Stakeholder Management
· Act as the finance point of contact for
investors and senior stakeholders.
· Coordinate investor-related financial
information, reporting and activities.
· Prepare financial data and analysis required for
investor discussions and reviews.
· Work closely with senior management on business
and financial matters.
6. Banking
& Working Capital
· Manage relationships with banks and financial
institutions.
· Act as an intermediary between the organization
and bankers.
· Oversee working capital, cash flow, fund
requirements and banking documentation.
· Monitor receivables, payables and overall cash
position.
· Support management in financing and
banking-related discussions.
7. Company
Secretarial / Corporate Compliance
· Independently handle Company Secretarial (CS)
functions and related statutory requirements.
· Work with external CS/legal advisors wherever
required.
· Support Board, investor and regulatory
documentation and compliance activities.
8. ERP
& Systems
· Drive effective use of ERP systems for finance
and accounting processes.
· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics / SAP will be
preferred.
· Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
within the ERP.
· Identify opportunities for improving finance
processes through systems and automation.
9. Team
Management
· Lead and manage a finance and accounts team of
approximately 10–12 members.
· Allocate responsibilities, monitor performance
and develop team capability.
· Establish clear processes, controls and
accountability within the finance function.
Requirements
Candidate
Profile
· CA / CA Inter qualification.
· Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience.
· Strong experience in engineering/manufacturing
organizations.
· Strong understanding of financial accounting,
MIS, budgeting and financial controls.
· Positive exposure to direct and indirect taxation.
· Experience managing statutory, internal and
investor-related audits.
· Experience dealing with Big 4 audit firms will
be an advantage.
· Exposure to investor interactions and reporting.
· Experience handling or coordinating Company
Secretarial functions.
· Solid banking and working-capital management
experience.
· Hands-on experience with SAP / Microsoft
Dynamics or similar ERP systems.
· Proven experience managing a finance team.
· Strong analytical, problem-solving and
decision-making abilities.
· Excellent communication and
stakeholder-management skills.
· Ability to independently manage the finance
function while remaining hands-on with day-to-day operations.

Looking For
This is a hands-on role with pathway to leadership for someone who can
independently manage the finance function and work closely with promoters,
investors, auditors, bankers, government authorities and senior management.
Candidates who have worked in engineering, precision manufacturing, automotive,
industrial manufacturing or similar manufacturing environments would be
preferred.
