We are looking for an experienced Release Manager to plan, coordinate and execute releases for a large-scale enterprise technology transformation program. You will own the end-to-end release lifecycle, working closely with delivery squads, platform, testing, change and operations teams to ensure releases go live safely, predictably and with minimal business disruption.

This is a hands-on delivery role embedded within the program you are accountable for release outcomes, not for independent review or audit.

Key Responsibilities

Release Planning & Execution

- Own and manage the release schedule and deployment plan.
- Coordinate release scope, timings and dependencies across squads, vendors, platforms and environments.
- Ensure alignment between delivery milestones, testing cycles, change activities and production deployment windows.

Release Readiness

- Coordinate release readiness activities across technology, business, operations and change teams.
- Drive completion of the Integrated Readiness Checklist (IRC) as a delivery artefact supporting Go-Live decisions.
- Ensure release inputs are complete, current and agreed prior to Go-Live.

Go-Live Coordination

- Prepare and support Go / Conditional Go / No-Go forums, including collation of readiness inputs and actions.
- Coordinate cutover activities and deployment execution with technology and operations teams.
- Act as the central coordination point during release windows.

Dependency, Risk & Issue Management

- Identify and actively manage release-level risks, issues and cross-team dependencies.
- Ensure release impacts and constraints are visible to program leadership and delivery stakeholders.




- Escalate material release risks in a timely manner.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Partner with Delivery Leads, Test Managers, Change Managers, Platform and Operations teams.
- Provide clear, concise release status updates to program governance forums.
- Ensure release roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and consistently applied.

Documentation & Traceability

- Ensure release artefacts are prepared and stored in agreed repositories.
- Maintain traceability between release decisions, actions and deployment outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement in release discipline and consistency across the program.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

- Proven experience as a Release Manager or Deployment Lead in complex technology environments.
- Strong planning and coordination skills across multiple teams and delivery streams.
- Hands-on experience managing production releases in large, regulated organisations.
- ServiceNow — Change creation and Incident Management processes.
- Jira — extensive working knowledge of Scrum/Agile delivery.
- Confluence — documentation and artefact management.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and escalation skills.

Good to Have

- Exposure to CI/CD tooling and deployment automation.
- ITIL certification or equivalent service management knowledge.
- Experience in banking, financial services, telecom or other regulated domains.
