Job Responsibilities:
Set and operate HMC (Horizontal Machining Centre) machines.
Perform complete job setting as per engineering drawings.
Set cutting tools, tool offsets, work offsets, and machining parameters.
Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
Carry out first-piece inspection and ensure quality requirements are met.
Select suitable cutting tools and machining parameters.
Perform offset corrections during production.
Handle operations such as milling, drilling, tapping, boring, and reaming.
Check component dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.
Monitor tool wear and replace tools when required.
Identify and troubleshoot machining and setting problems.
Ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.
Coordinate with the Quality and Production teams.
Maintain production and quality records.
Follow safety procedures and maintain proper housekeeping.
Required Skills:
Robust experience in HMC machine setting.
Valuable knowledge of Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controls preferred.
Valuable knowledge of cutting tools, offsets, and machining parameters.
Ability to read 2D engineering drawings.
Knowledge of tolerance and GD&T; is an added advantage.
Ability to independently handle job setting and troubleshooting.
Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Willingness to work in shifts.
Experience: 7–15 years of relevant HMC Setter experience.
