About the role

Alterna8 WM is building a wealth-management and distribution business across mutual funds, PMS and AIFs. We are looking for an experienced product and investment qualified to own the product shelf and act as the investment engine that supports the sales team- curating and evaluating products, building model portfolios and asset-allocation frameworks, and enabling Relationship Managers with investment guidance and client-facing support.

This is a central Head-Office role for someone with robust research and portfolio-construction ability who can translate a house view into practical, suitability-aligned recommendations, and who wants to grow into a Head- Products & Solutions / Chief Investment Officer position as the firm scales.

Key responsibilities

Product selection & due diligence
Curate and maintain the product shelf across MF, PMS, AIF and allied products (bonds, structured products) as relevant.
Conduct due diligence and evaluation of funds, schemes and managers, with ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews.




Evaluate NFOs and recent PMS / AIF strategies and recommend additions to or removals from the shelf.
Provide investment inputs for AMC / PMS / AIF empanelment and commercial terms.

Portfolio construction & asset allocation
Build and maintain model portfolios and asset-allocation frameworks across client risk profiles.
Translate the house view into recommended allocations and product baskets.
Provide rebalancing guidance and support periodic portfolio reviews.

Investment advisory & RM enablement
Act as investment counsellor, supporting Relationship Managers in client meetings on technical and complex discussions.
Prepare investment proposals, portfolio reviews and pitch materials aligned to client suitability.
Train and enable the sales team on products, markets and positioning.

Research & investment communication
Track markets, funds and macro trends; produce investment notes, newsletters and market updates.
