Job Purpose

To ensure the safety of guests, employees, visitors, and hotel property by maintaining effective fire prevention, fire-fighting, emergency response, and life-safety systems in accordance with statutory requirements and hotel safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
Fire & Life Safety
Monitor and maintain all fire and life-safety systems in the hotel.
Ensure fire alarm, fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire pump, emergency lighting, fire extinguishers, smoke detectors, and other safety equipment are operational.
Conduct regular inspections of fire safety equipment and report defects immediately.
Ensure fire exits, emergency staircases, corridors, and escape routes remain transparent and accessible.
Check fire doors and ensure they are properly maintained and functional.
Fire Prevention & Inspection
Conduct daily fire-safety rounds across guest rooms, restaurants, kitchens, banquet areas, back-of-house,



electrical rooms, stores, and other critical areas.
Identify fire hazards and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor housekeeping of electrical, kitchen, LPG/gas, storage, and service areas.
Ensure no unauthorized storage or obstruction is present in emergency areas.
Maintain proper records of inspections, defects, and corrective actions.
Emergency Response
Respond immediately to fire alarms and other emergency situations.
Assist in evacuation of guests and employees during emergencies.
Coordinate with the Security, Engineering, Front Office, and other departments during emergency situations.
Liaise with the Fire Department, police, ambulance services, and other emergency agencies when required.
Participate in emergency drills and evaluate response effectiveness.

Conduct regular fire drills and evacuation exercises.
