Job Title: Consultant - Slum Development Swacchangini Coordinator

Qualification: At least a Graduate in any relevant field.
Experience Required: Prior experience of working in projects related to urban slum development
Skills and Attributes
Understanding of government schemes related to Patna municipal corporation at the ground level
Ability to collaborate and coordinate at different levels with the Govt stakeholders and project team.
Ability to work on MS Office (word, excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to guide, handhold and manage community level cadres.
Willingness to travel extensively within the unit and work closely with communities.
The Project

This component is a team-oriented initiative supported by UNFPA and implemented in partnership with Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) under UPAMA project to promote inclusive, gender-responsive, and sustainable development in urban slums of Patna.



The project aims to improve the quality of life of vulnerable urban communities through strengthened access to health and sanitation services, women s empowerment, community participation, and enhanced municipal service delivery. Special emphasis is placed on promoting gender equality, strengthening the capacities and welfare of sanitation workers (Swacchanginis), fostering community-led slum development, and leveraging innovation and partnerships to build resilient, healthy, and inclusive urban communities.
The Role

Support capacity building and community-based implementation of slum development initiatives with a focus on women s empowerment, sanitation workers welfare, citizen participation, gender equality, and improved access to health and sanitation services.
