API Automation Tester

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain API automation test frameworks.
Create, execute, and manage automated test scripts for REST and SOAP web services.
Validate API functionality, reliability, performance, and security requirements.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Develop test cases and test scenarios based on business and technical requirements.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
Generate test execution reports and provide quality metrics.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to ensure quality deliverables.

Required Skills





Technical Skills
Robust experience in API Testing using Postman, Swagger, SoapUI, or similar tools.
Experience in API automation using:
Rest Assured (Java)
Selenium with TestNG/JUnit (preferred)
Karate Framework or equivalent
Valuable knowledge of REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and HTTP protocols.
Experience with version control tools such as Git.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
Experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira.
Understanding of SQL and database testing.

Programming Skills
Java (preferred)
Experience in developing automation frameworks.
