The Lead Application Engineer will provide solutions and create detailed design specification related to power system protection algorithms. The successful candidate will be a solid team player, with a methodical and structured approach to their work, with excellent verbal and written communication skills with comprehensive understanding of power systems and power system protection concepts and principles. Essential Responsibilities
To create detailed design specifications for implementation of protection and control (PC) algorithms.




Proof of concept studies using PSCAD or RTDS or MATLAB/Simulink.
Drive the root cause analysis of the incidents related to the power system protection algorithms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to the algorithm, product, and other customer cases.
Author technical papers and present materials at tradeshows and conferences for GE Vernovas products.
Assist in preparing training material and deliver training courses, where required.
Identify opportunities for patentable innovations to strengthen GE Vernovas Intellectual Property portfolio in digital substation technologies.
Provide technical guidance, direction, and training to recent engineers, specialists, technicians when required.
Analyse market trends and requirements to propose current developments in GE Vernovas Digital Energy products.
