Role & responsibilities
Monitor daily plant operations to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
Conduct routine safety inspections and identify potential hazards within the manufacturing facility.
Assist in implementing health, safety, and environmental management systems.
Conduct safety induction programs for current employees, contractors, and visitors.
Organize toolbox talks, safety meetings, and awareness campaigns.
Ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by employees and contractors.
Report, investigate, and document workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, permits, and statutory documentation.
Coordinate fire safety drills, emergency evacuation exercises, and mock drills.
Monitor hazardous chemical storage, handling, and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, State Pollution Control Board guidelines, and other applicable environmental and safety regulations.




Assist during internal and external HSE audits and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with production, maintenance, and HR teams to promote a secure working workplace.
Monitor waste management, air emissions, wastewater, and other environmental aspects of plant operations.

Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Industrial Safety, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
1 - 2 years of HSE experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing or process industry.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) standards.
HSE certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, Diploma in Industrial Safety, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
Familiarity with applicable statutory regulations, including the Factories Act, environmental regulations, and workplace safety standards.
