JOB PURPOSE
The Finance & Accounts Manager will be responsible for managing the complete finance, accounting, taxation, working capital and financial control functions of the business.
The role requires a strong understanding of a manufacturing and FMCG setting, with particular focus on customer receivables, vendor payables, inventory accounting, raw-material consumption, production costing, COGS, profitability, cash-flow management and statutory compliance.
The candidate will work closely with Sales, Production, Inventory, Purchase, Dispatch and Management to ensure that financial information is accurate, timely and practical for decision-making.
The role is expected to provide management with clear visibility on:
A. Accounting & Financial Control
Manage day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
Ensure accurate recording of all sales, purchases, expenses, receipts and payments.
Maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
Ensure timely posting and reconciliation of accounting transactions.
Review journal entries, provisions, accruals and adjustments.
Maintain proper accounting documentation and supporting records.
Ensure proper accounting controls are followed across departments.
Conduct monthly closing of books.
Identify and rectify accounting discrepancies.
B. Accounts Receivable & Customer Collections
Take complete ownership of the company's customer receivables and collection process.
