Welding Quality & Workmanship
Carry out MIG/MAG welding of hatch cover structures as per approved drawings, WPS and welding sequence.
Ensure proper weld size, profile, penetration and appearance.
Maintain consistent welding quality with minimum defects such as porosity, undercut, lack of fusion, cracks, overlap and excessive spatter.
Ensure proper fit-up and welding of stiffeners, brackets, panels, girders and other structural components.
Complete repair welding as instructed by the Welding Supervisor / QC Inspector.
Achieve minimum rejection and weld repair rates.
