Role Overview

We are looking for a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer with strong experience in Embedded C, Microcontrollers, RTOS, BSP, Device Drivers, Board Bring-up, and ECU Software Integration to work on BMW automotive ECU platforms.

The role involves developing and integrating low-level embedded software, bringing up recent hardware platforms, developing device drivers, integrating RTOS and communication stacks, and supporting ECU software development and debugging.

Key Responsibilities
Perform Microcontroller and Board Bring-up activities.
Develop and integrate MCAL, ECAL, HAL, Device Drivers and Bootloaders.
Develop Startup Code and Platform Initialization software.
Configure and work with Interrupt, Memory Management and Memory Mapping.
Integrate embedded software on current automotive ECU hardware platforms.
Support RTOS integration, ECU integration and software debugging.




Develop and maintain drivers for:
CAN / LIN / Ethernet
SPI / I2C / UART
ADC / PWM / GPIO / DMA
Perform software and hardware-level debugging using embedded debuggers.
Contribute to Build Automation, Build Scripts and CI/CD infrastructure.
Support Software Configuration and Release Management.
Create technical/design documentation and participate in software reviews.
Support ASPICE, Functional Safety and Cybersecurity activities.
Collaborate with Hardware, System, Software and Testing teams.

Mandatory Skills
Solid hands-on experience in Embedded C.
Experience in BSP Development and Board Bring-up.
Strong knowledge of Microcontrollers and Embedded Systems.
Experience with MCAL / HAL / Device Driver Development.
Experience in RTOS-based embedded development.
Experience with Bootloader Development.
Hands-on experience with CAN, LIN and/or Automotive Ethernet.
Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, A
