Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with DGMS regulations, mine safety standards, and company safety policies.
Conduct workplace safety inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments.
Monitor PPE usage and secure work practices across mining operations.
Carry out periodic vehicle and heavy equipment safety inspections to ensure DGMS compliance and operational safety.
Maintain records of vehicle inspections, fitness checks, permits, and corrective actions.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-miss events, and recommend corrective measures.
Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
Monitor emergency preparedness and support implementation of safety management systems.
Maintain safety reports, statutory records, and compliance documentation.
