Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning and Execution:
Source and procure chemical raw materials and packaging materials as per production requirements.
Develop and maintain an effective procurement plan aligned with the company's objectives and budget.
Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality and cost efficiency.
Maintain robust relationships with existing suppliers and develop current vendor networks.
Conduct periodic vendor audits to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards.
Inventory and Cost Control:
Monitor stock levels of raw materials and packaging materials to avoid overstocking or stockouts.
Optimize inventory levels to minimize carrying costs while ensuring uninterrupted production.
Market Research and Analysis:
Stay updated with market trends, pricing dynamics, and the availability of raw materials.
Benchmark supplier pricing and negotiate effectively for cost savings.
Documentation and Compliance:
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely approvals and execution.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and supplier performance.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with the production and quality control teams to ensure timely delivery of materials that meet quality standards.
Coordinate with finance for payment processing and budgetary control.
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Background:
