The Senior Civil Engineer / Site Supervisor will oversee daily construction operations for our real estate projects in Kolkata. This role ensures that all in office construction activities align with engineering designs, quality standards, safety protocols, and strict project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision: Oversee day-to-day construction operations, ensuring execution matches structural drawings and technical specifications.
Quality Assurance: Inspect building materials and workmanship continuously to minimize structural defects and costly rework.
Resource Management: Manage on-site laborers, specialized subcontractors, equipment deployment, and daily material allocations efficiently.
Progress Reporting: Maintain detailed logbooks and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to project managers.
Inventory Control: Monitor material stock levels, verify deliveries, and prevent wastage or theft on site.
Safety Compliance: Enforce strict occupational health and safety guidelines, ensuring a zero-incident work workplace.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as the primary liaison between architects, structural engineers, vendors, and corporate management.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.Tech/B.E.) or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven site supervision experience within the residential or commercial real estate sector.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of concrete technology, structural drawings, bar bending schedules (BBS), and finishing works.
Software Proficiency: Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project management software is highly desirable.
Core Competencies
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Bengali and Hindi is required for labor management; professional English proficiency is mandatory for corporate reporting.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage large labor crews, resolve conflicts, and maintain high morale under tight deadlines.
