Role & responsibilities
Manage the complete workshop operations for Tippers, Trailers, Crane Grabs, Excavators, Loaders, and other Heavy Earth Moving Machinery (HEMM).
Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance schedules.
Ensure maximum fleet uptime and operational efficiency.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, transmission, and engine-related issues.
Supervise mechanics, electricians, welders, technicians, and workshop staff.
Monitor spare parts inventory, vendor development, procurement, and maintenance costs.
Ensure timely renewal of Fitness Certificates (FC), permits, insurance, and statutory compliance.
Maintain maintenance records, job cards, equipment history, and workshop documentation.
Implement safety procedures, 5S practices, and housekeeping standards within the workshop.
Coordinate with operations teams to ensure timely vehicle availability.

Preferred candidate profile
B.E./B.Tech/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred).
10+ years of relevant experience in heavy vehicle or heavy equipment maintenance.
Experience in Transport, Logistics, Port Operations, Mining, Infrastructure, Construction, or Engineering Industries will be preferred.
Solid leadership, planning, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to manage workshop manpower and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
