Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior CAD Jewellery Designer to join our design team and support the creation of accurate, manufacture-ready 3D jewellery models. This role is ideal for someone with foundational hands-on experience in Rhino/Matrix who is looking to grow their skills under the guidance of senior designers, working on a mix of custom pieces and catalog designs for a premium D2C jewellery brand.
Key Responsibilities
Create 3D CAD models of jewellery (rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, etc.) using Rhino with the Matrix plugin, based on design briefs or reference sketches/images
Convert customer requirements and sales team inputs into accurate CAD renders for approval
Prepare designs with correct stone settings,
prong placements, and metal weight considerations under senior guidance
Make design revisions and iterations based on feedback from seniors, sales, or clients
Generate accurate renders and basic technical drawings for internal review and manufacturing
Coordinate with the production/manufacturing team to ensure designs are print/cast-ready
Maintain organized design files and version history for each project
Stay updated on jewellery design trends and techniques relevant to the brand's catalog
Required Skills & Qualifications
Diploma/certification in CAD Jewellery Design or equivalent hands-on training
6 months – 1 year of hands-on experience working with Rhino and Matrix for jewellery design
Basic understanding of jewellery manufacturing processes (casting, stone setting, polishing)
Positive eye for design proportion, symmetry, and detailing
