Amazon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its Direct Tax Reporting team in Hyderabad, India. This role supports the US CapEx team with the reporting of US income tax consequences for Amazon's unparalleled global portfolio of assets. The role focuses on US CapEx operations. A successful candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven, dynamic workplace. Experience automating the organization of vast amounts of data into helpful information is essential
Key job responsibilities
Preparation of Amazon's US income tax provision, forecast, and tax returns as it relates to US CapEx transactions by analyzing US GAAP reporting, determining book-tax differences, preparing workpapers and technical memorandums, and performing tax law research
Preparation of deferred tax reconciliations; identify drivers of basis differences
Identification and implementation of process improvements which increase efficiency, scalability,
and accuracy of data
Developing analyses, metrics, and narratives to be communicated to tax management, external auditors, and other stakeholders within and outside tax
Coordinating information requests with business partners to ensure accurate and timely inclusion within various tax reporting deliverables
Participate in special projects as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Master's degree
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications
Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant, or Enrolled Agent certification
Experience with US income tax reporting for CapEx transactions
Experience with ASC 740
Fundamental understanding of ASC 920/926/740, IRC sections 167/168/181/197 and tax accounting methods for Intangible and Digital Content
Experience with CorpTax
