We are seeking a motivated Junior Automation Engineer (PLC) to support design, development, and commissioning of industrial automation systems. The candidate should have solid fundamentals in PLC programming and a solid understanding of industrial communication protocols. This role involves working closely with senior engineers to implement, troubleshoot, and optimize automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and debug PLC programs for industrial automation systems
Assist in commissioning and on-site support of automation projects
Integrate PLCs with HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial equipment
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in control systems
Support electrical wiring checks, IO mapping, and panel testing
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and electrical engineers
Maintain documentation for PLC logic, communication setup, and system architecture
Mandatory Skills:
Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text preferred)*
Hands-on understanding of PLC platforms (Siemens / Allen-Bradley / Schneider preferred)
Industrial communication protocols (MANDATORY):*
Modbus RTU / TCP
PROFINET
PROFIBUS
Ethernet/IP (added advantage)
CAN / CANopen (preferred)
Understanding of HMI/SCADA integration
Basic knowledge of electrical control panels and sensors/actuators
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
Preferred Skills:
Experience with TIA Portal / Studio 5000 / EcoStruxure Control Expert
Exposure to industrial networking and troubleshooting tools
Basic knowledge of robotics or motion control systems
Familiarity with OPC UA / MQTT is a plus
Education:
Diploma / B.E / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related fields

Willingness to learn and work in industrial environments
Ability to handle field commissioning activities
