Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
Design mechanical components, assemblies, and products using 3D CAD software.
Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings with dimensions, GD&T;, tolerances, and BOM (Bill of Materials).
Develop concepts, prototypes, and production-ready designs based on customer and project requirements.
Ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and compliant with industry standards.
Perform design calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection.
Coordinate with production, procurement, and quality teams to resolve design and manufacturing issues.
Support prototype development, testing, validation, and design improvements.
Implement Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
Maintain design documentation, revision control, and technical records.
Participate in design reviews, DFMEA,



and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical support during product development and production.

Required Skills:
Robust knowledge of Mechanical Design Principles.
Expertise in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX, AutoCAD, or Inventor.
Excellent understanding of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal, fabrication, casting, forging, and injection molding.
Experience in BOM preparation and engineering documentation.
Knowledge of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
Understanding of material properties and selection.
Basic knowledge of FEA analysis is an added advantage.
Robust problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
