We are seeking an established contractor for a large private residence in Ahmedabad, designed by Robert Adam's UK-based classical architecture practice, with KGA serving as executive architect of record. The project involves extensive classical detailing — dressed stone facades and cornices, decorative plasterwork, and bespoke joinery — and we are looking for a contractor who maintains genuine in-house craft capability across these trades, not one who subcontracts each separately. The seamless integration of stone, plaster, and joinery at every junction is central to the quality of this build.
Responsibilities:
Execute RCC structure, foundation, and masonry per architectural and structural drawings
Execute or directly manage dressed stone fabrication and installation, including cornices, column capitals, and decorative elements
Execute or directly manage classical joinery — doors, windows, staircases, and panelling
Execute or directly manage decorative/ornamental plasterwork — cornices, ceiling roses, and classical mouldings
Take responsibility for how these crafts meet at junctions and details, not just for each in isolation
Manage site logistics, labour, and safety across the combined scope
Report progress, quality, and billing to the project's PMC and owner's office
Maintain quality control against architect specifications and the BOQ
Requirements:
Demonstrable in-house team capability (not purely subcontracted) across at least three of: civil/RCC, dressed stonework, classical joinery, decorative plasterwork
Track record on bungalow, temple, or heritage-restoration projects requiring this combination of crafts
Solid photographic portfolio of completed classical or ornamental detailing
Valid contracting registration and GST, with verifiable site references
Comfortable working to drawings and specifications from an international classical design team
To Apply:
Please send a portfolio with photographs specifically showing stone, joinery
