A TIG/MIG Welder fuses, repairs, and fabricates metal components using Tungsten Inert Gas and Metal Inert Gas welding techniques. Responsibilities include interpreting technical blueprints, setting up machine parameters, and ensuring high-quality, exact welds on materials like steel, stainless steel, and aluminum while adhering to strict safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
Welding Operations: Perform high-quality structural and precision welding using TIG (GTAW) and MIG (GMAW) processes.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and analyze engineering drawings, layouts, and American Welding Society (AWS) standard symbols.
Equipment Setup: Select appropriate torches, tungsten electrodes, filler wires, wire electrodes, and shielding gas ratios.
Material Preparation: Clean, measure, cut, and bevel metal surfaces, ensuring exact fit-ups and no warping or distortion.
Quality Control: Inspect and test finished welds for defects, porosity, or cracks to meet industrial manufacturing standards.
Equipment Maintenance:
Clean and maintain welding machines, torches, and consumables; perform basic troubleshooting.
Safety Compliance: Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean, hazard-free 5S or manufacturing workspace.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience as a structural or precision welder utilizing both TIG and MIG processes.
Certifications: Valid AWS (e.g., D1.1, D1.6) or ASME welding certifications preferred depending on the industry.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with metal shop machinery, including plasma cutters, angle grinders, and overhead cranes.
Physical Stamina: Excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long shifts.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
