We are seeking an experienced Melting Engineer to oversee furnace operations and Molds pouring in our iron castings foundry. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in induction furnaces, solid metallurgical knowledge, and a proven track record of achieving consistent quality in grey and ductile iron castings.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily melting operations and furnace performance
Ensure correct charge mix, alloy additions, and chemistry control
Monitor temperature, slag, and metallurgical properties
Maintain safety standards in molten metal handling
Optimize energy and raw material usage
Coordinate with production and quality teams to meet casting targets
Requirements:
Degree/Diploma in Metallurgy, Foundry Technology, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of melting experience in iron castings
Robust knowledge of spectrometer analysis and furnace maintenance
Supervisory skills to guide operators and helpers
Should work in rotational Shifts.
