The QA/QC Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations and systems executed at site comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable quality standards, and statutory regulations. The role involves inspection, testing, documentation, commissioning, and coordination to ensure quality compliance throughout the project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure electrical works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
Implement QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and quality checklists.
Monitor adherence to approved method statements and quality benchmarks.
Verify compliance with client requirements and regulatory standards.
Inspection & Testing
Conduct inspections of electrical installations including: o Cable laying & termination o HT/LT panels & switchgear installation o Earthing & lightning protection systems o Lighting & power distribution systems o Equipment installation (transformers, DG sets, UPS, panels)
Witness testing and commissioning activities.
Ensure testing is performed as per standards and approved procedures.
Verify materials delivered at site against approved submittals.
Documentation & Quality Records
Prepare and maintain: o Inspection reports & checklists o Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) o Snag lists & punch points o Test & commissioning reports o Material inspection reports
Maintain quality documentation for audits and project handover.
Site Coordination & Quality Monitoring
Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors for inspections and approvals. • Monitor site execution to ensure quality standards are maintained.
Ensure timely rectification and closure of defects/NCRs.
Support project teams in achieving quality milestones and handover targets.
