Job Title: Physics Lab Assistant / Lab In-Charge

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Physics Lab Assistant / Lab In-Charge to support the effective functioning of the Physics Laboratory for the IB and CAIE curriculum. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on laboratory experience, strong organisational skills, and the ability to maintain a secure and engaging laboratory environment for students and faculty.

Key ResponsibilitiesLaboratory Management
Maintain and organize the Physics laboratory, ensuring all equipment and apparatus are in valuable working condition.
Prepare laboratory setups, experiments, demonstrations, and practical activities as per the IB and CAIE curriculum requirements.
Assist teachers during practical sessions and examinations.
Ensure the laboratory remains clean, secure, and compliant with safety regulations.

Inventory & Equipment Maintenance
Maintain records of laboratory equipment, consumables, and chemicals.




Conduct periodic stock verification and prepare inventory reports.
Coordinate repairs, servicing, and procurement of laboratory equipment.
Monitor laboratory resources and recommend replenishment when required.

Safety & Compliance
Implement laboratory safety procedures and ensure students adhere to safety guidelines.
Maintain safety equipment and first-aid supplies.
Ensure proper storage and handling of laboratory apparatus and materials.

Administrative Support
Maintain laboratory registers, practical records, and documentation.
Support the Science Department in conducting exhibitions, projects, and science-related activities.
Assist in setting up equipment for school events and assessments.

Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or an equivalent qualification.
Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Physics Lab Assistant in a school environment.
