This position is responsible for the implementation of the production of Injection moulding (Insert moulding). This includes transitioning new injection tooling programs, performing current mould and process improvement mould trials, and troubleshooting production. Also, it includes the identification of Automation and productivity improvement opportunities.
Specific Responsibilities:
Understanding of engineering drawings for specified manufacturing processes.
knowledge of 3D CAD software (e.g. Solidworks) is preferred.
Ensures required process development information accompanies new tooling.
Improves and documents processes on existing moulds, using established systematic techniques.
Lean implementation in Injection moulding tools such as modular concept /
Assists in troubleshooting production processes.
Identifies key process parameters for process monitoring and control.
Establishes process parameters for part diversion.
Assists with investigations of rejected products and the development of corrective actions.
Conducts D.O.E.s. for new moulds and productivity improvements.
Conducts cycle improvement and regrind plastic material usage tests.
Assists in training recent process technicians and mould setup personnel.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
4~6 years of experience in Injection moulding and current plastic part development
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering
Experience in dealing with Tool makers for correcting toolings
Strong problem-solving techniques, analytical ability
Working well with other departments and should be compatible for working with teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
Being results & deadline driven
Good English verbal and written communication skills
