Key Responsibilities
System Design & Engineering
Design solar PV systems (rooftop, ground-mounted, or utility-scale).
Perform system sizing, energy yield estimation, and performance analysis.
Design DC and AC systems for solar PV plants
Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, and cable schedules
Perform inverter sizing, string sizing, and cable sizing calculations
Design earthing and lightning protection systems
Conduct short circuit, load flow, and voltage drop analysis

System Design & Simulation
Use tools like:
PVsyst
Helioscope
AutoCAD
Site Assessment & Feasibility
Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies.
Analyze shadow, tilt, orientation, and structural constraints.
Recommend optimal system configurations.




Technical Documentation
Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and technical specifications.
Develop design reports and project documentation.
Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and DISCOM requirements.
Software & Tools
Use design tools such as:
PVsyst
AutoCAD
Perform simulations and energy generation forecasts.
Coordination & Execution Support
Work closely with procurement and execution teams.
Provide technical support during installation and commissioning.
Resolve in office design issues.
