The Prospect
We are looking for a motivated intern to join our Investments and Research team. This is a hands-on role where you will contribute directly to deal sourcing, market research, and portfolio support. You will gain real exposure to the VC investment process and develop a strong foundation in the FinTech landscape.
What You Will Do
Conduct sector and company research to support deal sourcing and evaluation
Build landscape maps and competitive analyses across FinTech verticals
Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentation materials
Screen inbound opportunities and support the team in initial due diligence
Track portfolio companies and help monitor key performance metrics
Stay current on FinTech trends, regulatory developments, and market news
What We Are Looking For
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field
Solid analytical and research skills with an eye for detail
Genuine interest in FinTech, startups, and the venture capital ecosystem
Comfortable working with data and building structured documents and models
Clear written and verbal communication â you will be preparing materials that reach decision-makers
Self-starter who can manage their own workload with limited hand-holding
Duration & Structure
This is a minimum 4-month duration internship, given the extensive training you will be put through. This could also lead to a potential future full time role at the fund or the wider Cedar Group.
