Role Overview:

We are looking for a Procurement Professional with strong experience in steel sourcing and vendor management. The role involves managing end-to-end procurement of steel materials, optimizing costs, ensuring quality, and maintaining productive supply continuity.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage procurement of steel (TMT, structural steel, coils, sheets, etc.) from vendors across India
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable steel suppliers and manufacturers
Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost efficiency and supply stability
Create and execute purchase plans aligned with project and business requirements
Maintain and monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock
Analyze vendor performance, pricing trends, and market movements
Ensure accuracy in purchase orders, contracts, and pricing records
Coordinate with internal teams (sales, logistics, finance) for smooth execution
Ensure adherence to procurement policies and compliance standards
Drive improvements in procurement processes and supply chain efficiency





Key Requirements:
3 - 7 years of experience in steel procurement / metals sourcing
Solid understanding of steel grades, pricing trends, and supply markets
Proven experience in vendor development and negotiation
Exposure to large-scale procurement and inventory planning
Positive analytical and communication skills
Proficiency in MS Excel and procurement tracking systems

Qualification: Graduate/B.Tech

Preferred Profile:
Candidates from steel, metals, building materials, or infrastructure sectors
Strong network with steel mills, traders, and distributors
Ability to work in a quick-paced, high-volume procurement environment
