ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Minimum 1 years of Medical Coding Experience.
Strong Knowledge on coding appropriate ICD’s,



CPT’s and HCPC Codes.
Solid Knowledge to ensure in assign codes based on coding and customer guidelines.
Hands – on Knowledge in CCI edits, LCD, NCD coverage determination etc.
Robust Knowledge in Medical terminology, Human Anatomy and Physiology
Robust Knowledge in Hospital initial Inpatient Care, Subsequent inpatient care, Hospital Discharge Day Management and Admission and Discharge same day/ Different day.
Time based coding
Strong in level of service determination with 1995 & 1997 documentation guidelines.
Knowledge of coding all CPT’s related to inpatient bed side Procedures
Foley Catheter placement
NG Tube Placement
PEG tube Placement
Wound Dressing (Separately billable)
CPR
Intubation
Central Line Placement
ABG
Sound knowledge of evaluating the Medical Decision making for arriving correct E/M codes
Time based coding for New Patient/ Established Patient.
