We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong experience in UI and API automation testing. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in automation frameworks, scripting, API validation, and test execution within Agile development environments.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automation scripts for enterprise applications and APIs while ensuring quality across releases.
Key Responsibilities
Automation Testing
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for:
UI Testing
API Testing
Execute automated regression and smoke test suites.
Enhance and maintain automation frameworks.
API Testing
Perform API automation and validation.
Validate:
Request/Response payloads
Headers
Authentication
Status codes
Error handling
Experience with REST APIs and JSON.
UI Automation
Create and maintain UI automation scripts.
Build reliable object locators and XPath strategies.
Handle dynamic elements and synchronization issues.
Framework & Scripting
Work with existing automation frameworks and contribute to framework enhancements.
Write reusable utilities and helper functions.
Perform debugging and script optimization.
Collaboration & QA Activities
Work closely with developers, QA team, and business analysts.
Participate in sprint ceremonies and QA reviews.
Report defects and support issue resolution.
Support CI/CD execution and release validation.
Must Have Skills
Automation Testing
5+ years of experience in Automation Testing
Robust understanding of:
Automation frameworks
Test execution strategies
Regression automation
Technical Skills
Experience in API Testing
Strong XPath writing skills
Scripting experience using Java
Valuable understanding of:
JSON
HTTP methods
Status codes
Valuable to Have Skills
2+ years of experience in Katalon Studio
Knowledge of Groovy scripting
Working know
