Job Summary

The Area Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets, leading and developing a team of Medical Representatives (MRs), expanding business in the assigned territory, maintaining relationships with healthcare professionals, and ensuring implementation of the company's sales and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Recruit, train, coach, and motivate Medical Representatives.
Monitor daily field activities through joint field work and regular reviews.
Build and maintain solid relationships with doctors, hospitals, chemists, and stockists.
Plan and execute territory-wise sales strategies.
Analyze sales performance and prepare action plans to improve business.
Conduct regular cycle meetings and product training sessions.
Ensure timely reporting of daily call reports, expense statements, and sales data.
Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence to management.




Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.Sc., B.Pharm., BBA, or equivalent). MBA is an added advantage.
Relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably with team-handling experience.
Robust leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Positive knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and CRM/reporting systems (if applicable).
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
