Key Responsibilities
Concept to Completion: Design and develop textile machinery components, mechanisms, and sub-systems using 3D CAD software.
Drafting and BOMs: Create manufacturing drawings and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production and procurement teams.
Simulation & Analysis: Conduct structural, thermal, and agile.
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure machinery durability and performance.
Manufacturing Optimization: Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to reduce material costs, simplify fabrication, and optimize assembly processes.
Tolerance & Material Selection: Perform tolerance stack-up analyses and select appropriate materials and commercial components (bearings, gearboxes, motors) for industrial settings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with R&D;, production,
and quality assurance to resolve design issues and improve prototypes.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech).
Experience: 3 to 5 years of hands-on mechanical design experience, ideally with textile machinery, packaging machinery, or heavy industrial capital equipment. [1, 2]
Software Proficiency:
Advanced working knowledge of SolidWorks and Autocad.
Familiarity with GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and 2D drafting tools.
