OT Scrub Nurse – Job Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain a sterile operating room setting.
Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by providing instruments, sutures, and supplies.
Perform surgical scrub, gowning, and gloving procedures.
Ensure availability and sterility of surgical instruments and equipment before surgery.
Maintain accurate instrument, sponge, and needle counts before, during, and after procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during operations.
Handle surgical specimens according to hospital protocols.
Follow infection control, aseptic techniques, and patient safety standards.
Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
Document intraoperative nursing activities and maintain OT records.
Ensure proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance of OT instruments and equipment.
Adhere to hospital policies, NABH standards, and quality protocols.
Qualification: GNM/B.Sc. Nursing with a valid Kerala Nursing Council registration.
Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience as an OT Scrub Nurse in a hospital setting preferred.
Pay: ₹360,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
