Key Responsibilities
- Pre-op: Check patient health history and plan the best type of anesthesia.
Intra-op: Administer drugs, monitor vitals, and keep the patient secure during surgery.
Post-op: Manage pain relief and watch recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit or ICU.
Emergencies: Help lead trauma responses and cardiac arrest management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree: MBBS plus MD, DNB, or a Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA).
Registration: Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or a State Medical Council.
Certifications: Often requires active BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support).
Core Skills: Patient evaluation, airway management, and emergency resuscitation
