IRA Corporation is one of India's leading manufacturers of Gold & Silver Refining Plants, Hallmarking Laboratory Equipment, Fire Assaying Laboratories, and Precious Metal Processing Machinery. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Draftsman to join our engineering team.
Job Responsibilities
Prepare detailed 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD.
Create fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and general arrangement (GA) drawings.
Develop manufacturing drawings for sheet metal, tanks, reactors, piping, structures, and industrial machinery.
Modify and update existing drawings as per engineering and production requirements.
Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) from engineering drawings.
Coordinate with the design, production, and installation teams.
Maintain proper drawing documentation and revision records.
Ensure all drawings comply with company standards and technical specifications.
Visit the production floor when required to verify dimensions and support fabrication.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Drafting.
1–5 years of experience in AutoCAD drafting (Freshers with robust AutoCAD skills may also apply).
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D (knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, SolidWorks, or Inventor is an added advantage).
Good understanding of mechanical drawings, fabrication, welding, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerances, and engineering standards is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience in industrial machinery or process equipment design.
Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication, piping layouts, and pressure vessels.
Basic understanding of electrical and process layouts is an advantage.
Positive communication and teamwork skills.
