An Accountant is responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of a company. The main duties include:
Maintaining day-to-day accounting records.

Managing cash book, bank book, and ledger accounts.
Preparing GST returns, TDS returns, and other tax-related work.
Handling bank reconciliation statements.
Preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
Monitoring accounts payable and receivable.
Preparing invoices and maintaining billing records.
Assisting in audit and taxation work.
Maintaining salary, payroll, and employee payment records.
Monitoring loan accounts, EMI schedules, and bank transactions.
Preparing balance sheet, profit & loss account, and financial statements.
Coordinating with banks, auditors, and government departments.
Maintaining proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
