Job Description -Network Support Engineer

Location: Onsite – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Plant (Work from Office) Vizag

Job Summary

We are seeking an L1/L1.5 Network Support Engineer to provide onsite operational support for network infrastructure across pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. The engineer will be responsible for day-to-day support, monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordination to ensure high availability of network services.

Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite support for LAN, WAN, Wireless, Firewalls, CCTV, and Passive Cabling infrastructure.
Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving switches, routers, firewalls, wireless devices, printers, IP phones, CCTV systems, and other network-connected equipment.
Handle remote console access requests and provide first-level support for network incidents.
Coordinate with local IT support teams, ISP providers, OEM vendors, and third-party service providers for incident resolution and hardware replacements.
Perform basic root cause analysis (RCA) and maintain accurate incident documentation.
Obtain vendor quotations for networking hardware, passive components, and related IT infrastructure when required.
Support network installations, relocations, preventive maintenance,



and infrastructure upgrades.
Ensure all incidents and service requests are handled within agreed SLAs and escalate issues to L2/L3 teams when necessary.
Maintain effective communication with plant users, local support teams, and internal technical teams.

Expectations
Must be willing to work onsite from the pharmaceutical plant location.
Must be adaptable to extend working hours during critical incidents, maintenance activities, or major outages.
Should be available to provide support outside business hours, including weekends and holidays, whenever business requirements demand.
Demonstrate a robust customer service mindset, ownership, and commitment to ensuring uninterrupted plant operations.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a 247 operational workplace.

Preferred Skills
Basic knowledge of Routing & Switching, TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN, Wireless, and Firewall technologies.
Familiarity with Cisco, Fortinet, Aruba, Meraki, or similar networking platforms.
Good troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and vendor coordination skills.
