Job Summary

The India Assistant Controller is responsible for controllership, compliance, audits, risk assessment, and business analytics to support accurate reporting and effective decision-making. This position reports to the India Controller and is part of the finance and accounting, Bengaluru, and will be an in office role.

What you will do
Lead/Coordinate Accounting Operations - Closing, Reporting, Corporate Governance and Controllership and preparation of financial statements in compliance with IND AS
Monitor and ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements (FEMA, CSR, Tax, TDS, EPF, MSMED, RBI, etc.), ICFR controls, transfer pricing, and revenue recognition policies
Prepare and coordinate various audits/reviews - Statutory, Tax, Internal/Sox, Balance Sheet Review etc.
Review customer contracts and purchase orders to identify deviations from standard terms, assess risk flags, and ensure compliance with internal policy and controls
Support business analytics through timely execution of ad-hoc analyses, reporting,



and participate/lead cross-functional initiatives

Who you are
Skilled accountant preferably CA or CPA with 5 to 7 years experience or accounting degree with 10 to 12 years controllership experience
Proven ability to understand and improve the internal controls for increased safeguarding of company assets
Previously handled audits from Big 4 or similar firms and mandatory controllership experience
Demonstrated experiences to improve processes and in optimizing working capital
Use of financial reporting tools such as Hyperion, Oracle and Microsoft Excel to provide timely and accurate financial statements.
