The primary responsibility of the candidate is to maintain the books of accounts of 3 entities – Biome Environmental Trust, Biome Environmental Solutions Pvt Ltd, and Biome Water Management LLP, and ensure the entities’ tax and other regulatory compliances are met.
The candidate will need to play a supporting role in all financial transactions to project leaders and the management of the organisation – from ensuring approved payments are made, to tracking receipts / donations. The role will also involve ensuring donor utilisation certificates and related compliances are met. The role will anchor donor, internal and statutory audits. All these primary responsibilities will need to be done in accordance with organisational and project level financial and accounting processes with the rest of the team. This will require engaging with project leaders and management to ensure internal process compliance. Documenting and suggesting improvement in financial, administrative and regulatory processes will allow the candidate to grow within the organisation. To be successful in this role,



the candidate should have previous experience with bookkeeping and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes.

Skills expected
Working knowledge of Tally ERP / Prime
Knowledge of GST, TDS & other accounting terms
Positive command over MS-Excel & MS-Word
Positive understanding of accounting principles
Basic knowledge of banking, E-way bills and other similar work
Ability to keep documents and data well organized
Communication and coordination with team leads

a. Maintain all accounts for each project on Tally for both the Trust and LLP entities

b. Ensure Tally is set up to be able to track all inflows and outflows of money in terms of donor, project and expense head - use the cost centre provision for the same. Ensure admin expenses are traceable through Tally
