Operate and monitor the plant through the Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted operations in line with the production plan, quality standards, and operating procedures.
Continuously monitor and control critical process parameters from the DCS panel and ensure timely recording of operational data in logbooks and digital reporting systems.
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), including start-up, shutdown, and emergency operating procedures.
Optimize plant performance by minimizing losses related to raw materials, utilities, energy, chemicals, and finished products while maximizing process efficiency.
Monitor process performance, identify deviations, and initiate corrective actions to maintain product quality, plant reliability, and operational efficiency.
Coordinate with Maintenance, Production, Utility, and other support teams for planned maintenance activities, equipment isolation, troubleshooting, and timely restoration of plant operations.
Respond effectively to process upsets, alarms,



equipment failures, and emergency situations by taking appropriate corrective actions in coordination with field operations and shift teams.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, environmental, and statutory requirements while promoting secure work practices and process safety standards.
Participate in process optimization, continuous improvement initiatives, energy conservation programs, and operational excellence projects.
Prepare and maintain accurate shift reports, production records, operational logs, and other documentation required for effective shift handover and performance monitoring.
Support commissioning, start-up, shutdown, trial runs, and plant modification activities as and when required.
Coordinate closely with field operators and other stakeholders to ensure smooth plant operations and effective communication during routine and abnormal operating conditions.
