Job Summary The Level-2 Application Support Engineer will be responsible for providing end-to-end support for Bharat Bill Pay (BBPS) Online and Offline applications. The role involves monitoring, managing, and supporting applications operating in a 24x7 mission-critical production workplace. The candidate will collaborate closely with Database, Infrastructure, Operations, and external stakeholders, including Banks and Non-Banking Financial Institutions, to ensure uninterrupted service delivery. The primary objective of this role is to maintain near-100% application uptime through effective proactive and reactive maintenance. The position requires an individual contributor with robust problem-solving skills, the ability to learn quickly, and the capability to perform effectively in a high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, analyze, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.
Perform proactive and reactive application maintenance activities.
Troubleshoot production incidents efficiently with minimal impact on business.




Deploy application patches and production builds in coordination with relevant teams.
Write and optimize SQL queries for investigation and issue resolution.
Perform bug fixes and support development teams in stabilizing applications.
Conduct application sizing and performance assessments.
Predict and prevent potential production incidents.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and continuously refine them where required.
Ensure compliance with security access control policies.
Work in a 24x7 zero-downtime application support setting.
Perform Disaster Recovery (DR) drills to ensure application resilience.
Seamlessly manage and maintain production applications.
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and prepare RCA reports for production issues.
Monitor application logs and analyze trends to prevent recurring incidents.
Automate operational and monitoring tasks using shell scripting where
