The Injection Moulding Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining injection moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic components according to production schedules and quality standards. The operator ensures smooth machine operation, performs routine inspections, and maintains a secure and clean work workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Operate injection moulding machines as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Load raw materials into hoppers and ensure continuous material supply.
Start, stop, and monitor machine operations.
Inspect moulded parts for defects such as flash, short shots, burn marks, sink marks, and warpage.
Pack finished products according to customer specifications.
Record production data, machine downtime, and rejection quantities.
Maintain housekeeping around the machine and work area (5S).
Follow safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Report machine malfunctions, quality issues, or material shortages to the supervisor.
Assist in mould changes and machine setup when required.
Qualifications
High School Diploma / ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Plastic Technology, or related field.
