Roles and Responsibilities :
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing platform administration and support team
Manage Microsoft Fabric tenant settings, global configurations, workspaces, and capacities (F-SKUs) to optimize utilization and cost
Implement and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) using Microsoft Entra ID, item-level security, and data governance policies (Microsoft Purview)
Administer and maintain On-premises Data Gateways and Virtual Network (VNet) Data Gateways
Communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs to senior leadership and client stakeholders
Continuously monitor Fabric capacities using the Capacity Metrics app to prevent throttling and serve as the primary point of contact for critical Level 3 escalations
Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement, conducting regular one-on-ones and performance reviews
Drive technical strategy, architectural decisions, and long-term technology roadmaps for the Fabric tenant
Partner with product, data engineering, and design teams to define roadmaps, security models,
and resource allocation
Job Requirements :
- 8+ years of experience in Data Platform Administration, with demonstrable, hands-on experience specifically managing Microsoft Fabric and/or complex Power BI Premium settings.
Deep technical understanding of Fabric Admin Portal operations, capacity metrics, tenant-level configurations, and CI/CD lifecycle management in Fabric.
Robust knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and Purview integration.
Proven expertise in installing, configuring, and maintaining Microsoft Data Gateways (Enterprise and VNet).
Proficiency in using PowerShell, Fabric REST APIs, or Azure CLI for automating repetitive administrative tasks.
Soft Skills: Excellent client-facing communication skills, with a proven track record of successfully migrating or transitioning services from client teams to managed service provide
